Afeni Shakur (mother of Tupac Shakur) will be the keynote speaker at the 1st Annual Hip-Hop Appreciation Week Awards Ceremony in Atlanta, 5/18. Community leaders in Atlanta will be recognized in 5 categories for their achievements last year. Hip-Hop Appreciation Week is 5/18-25. The week was founded by KRS-One & is designed to promote unity & the decriminalization of hip-hop’s image.
